Overview
A fireproof curtain rolling door for a proposed access-controlled laser-welding enclosure opening, with the final protective construction and control arrangement subject to application-specific validation.
Applications
A proposed access-controlled rolling closure for a laser welding cell, subject to validation of laser containment and the machine safeguarding design.
Construction advantages
The construction uses a class-A fireproof silicone-coated glass-fiber curtain in place of a conventional PVC curtain (only class B2 or B1 fire retardant), with vertical guides and an overhead roll. It creates a fireproof barrier for robotic welding cell. And Fire Resisting Laser Welding Cell Safeguarding Door can resist up to 850 ℃ high temperature, getting longer work-life under heavy welding splashes and sparks in welding booth. Servo operation and a local display support setting and operation. Guide and bottom sealing details are agreed with the enclosure design. Vertical rolling travel keeps the loading face available for carriers and avoids a hinged leaf swing or a sliding leaf parking area. Include the head and guides in the cell layout.
Control coordination
Define the required laser inhibit, protective interlock monitoring, access permission, reset and restart conditions with the integrator. General PLC position feedback must not be assumed to provide the required safety function.
Selection points
Determine whether or not you have the need for fire separation for your laser welding cell. Or your robotic welding process will send out a lot high-temperature splashes or sparks towards doors. If yes for above two cases, such Fire Resisting Laser Welding Cell Safeguarding Doo is a better choice for you. Or, if your answer is no, but you still hope a longer work life for your laser welding cell doors, it is also a good choice.
Configuration review
Curtain thickness, visible opacity and fire or heat resistance do not establish laser protection. Any observation panel and all opening interfaces require separate confirmation for the specified laser exposure.
Enquiry information
Send a dimensioned opening drawing, welding process, workpiece and fixture envelope, required cycle sequence and installation clearances for a configuration review of Fire Resisting Laser Welding Cell Safeguarding Doos.
